Documentation
The user guides, published in full.
Binse installs a user guide for each of its three canvases and one for scheduled runs, and Explore, the part of Binse Enterprise that is already built, has one of its own. These are those files, converted and published as they are, before anybody has paid for anything. Read the whole of the product before you decide whether to buy it.
Binse
A guide for each of the three canvases, and one for scheduled runs.
Each one is a single page, so find-in-page works across the whole of it and a link to a heading keeps working.
01
Data Flow
FLOW CANVAS · TOOL REFERENCE
How to build a flow on the canvas: the tools, the formula language, macros, parameters, and every file a flow can read and write.
Most of this guide is reference. Every tool in the palette has its own entry with its inputs, its outputs and each of its settings, and the formula language has an entry for every function with a worked example beside it.
02
Dashboards
DESIGNER · VISUAL CATALOGUE
How to load data, lay out a page, write measures, and export a whole dashboard as one HTML file that opens on a machine with nothing installed.
It covers connectors, the canvas, cross-filtering, date filters, measures and time intelligence, the export, and it carries the visual catalogue: every visual type in the palette, what it draws, and the name the file format knows it by.
03
Diagrams
DIAGRAM CANVAS · SHAPES, DATA AND FORMATS
How to draw on the canvas: the shape libraries, connectors that stay glued and route themselves, automatic layout, diagrams built from your own data, and every format it reads and writes.
Every table in it is generated from the product’s own registries, so the libraries and their counts, the templates, the layouts, the formats, the rule effects, the accessibility checks, the limits and the whole keyboard are the software’s own answer rather than a description of it. Two chapters are marked as belonging to Binse Enterprise: working together, and the assistant.
04
Schedules
SCHEDULED RUNS · WINDOWS TASK SCHEDULER
How to have Windows press Run for you: triggers, steps, parameters, delivery, the run history, and the constraint that governs all of it.
The shortest of the guides, and the one that spends the most of itself on a limitation. A scheduled run happens only while you are signed in to Windows, and the guide says so in its own second paragraph rather than in a footnote.
Binse Enterprise · In development
Explore, the part of Enterprise that is built.
Binse Enterprise has no price and no date yet. Explore belongs to Enterprise rather than to Binse on its own, and its guide is here so you can read it now. What Binse Enterprise is.
01
Explore
FIELD PICKER · WAREHOUSE
How to ask a question of a table in a warehouse without writing SQL: picking fields, the filter grammar, timeframes, saved reports and catalogues.
The longest of the guides. It covers the field picker, dimensions and measures, the filter grammar, timeframes, drill-down, the SQL tab, saved reports and the read-only report viewer, and it ends with the catalogue format and how a catalogue is shared.
What these pages do not do
The limits of reading the manual.
Set in the same typeface, at the same size, in the same section as the good news, which is the rule everywhere else on this site.
01
They describe one version
Every one of these guides is the file that shipped with version 2026.9.16.3. It is a description of what that version does, not a plan for what a later one will do.
02
They name screens they do not show
Screens, panels and buttons are named. They are not pictured. A guide read cold will tell you what Binse does and will not show you what it looks like while it does it. The Diagrams guide is the one that carries captures of its own inside the product; they are files that ship beside it rather than on this domain, so a selection of the same ones is on the Diagrams page and in the gallery instead.
03
There is no search box here
A search would need a script, and these pages carry none beyond the two every page on this site loads. Every heading in every guide is listed further down, and your browser’s own find-in-page works on a whole guide because a whole guide is one page.
04
The visual catalogue is text, not pictures
In the app each entry in the Dashboards catalogue carries a picture of the visual drawn against the sample data. Those pictures are drawn by the application and are not published here, so what you get is the name, the description and the type name.
05
A guide can be wrong before we know
If a screen and a sentence disagree, the screen is right. Write to corrections@binselytics.com and the sentence gets corrected, with the date of the correction beside it.
Every section, in one list
The index.
Every top-level section of every guide, linked. This is what stands in for a search box.
