TERMS OF SALE

What you are buying, and on what terms.

This page is the purchase. The licence agreement is the use. They are two different contracts with two different parties, and keeping them apart is the only way either of them makes sense.

Last changed 2026-09-13 · Applies to Binse 2026.9.16.3

01 · WHAT IS SOLD

One licence, for one year, for one person.

Data Flow, Dashboards, Diagrams and scheduled runs, one installer, one person.

You are buying a licence to use Binse, version 2026.9.16.3: one Windows installer holding three canvases, named Data Flow, Dashboards and Diagrams, and scheduled runs. No module is sold separately. Binse Enterprise, a separate edition in development, is not offered under these terms.

A licence covers one user. It runs for a year from the day it is issued and then stops. It is not a perpetual licence. What that means in practice, including what keeps working after it stops, is clause 04 of the licence agreement.

The installer is 252.2 MB to download and carries 959.2 MB of program files. It installs into your own user folder and asks for no administrator rights. The install page shows the Windows warning you will meet on first run, and why.

Two things you should know before you order rather than after you install.

  • The software is locked to your computers by a licence key that it confirms online. The key is activated for each computer and confirmed with the service that issued it about once a week. If the key has expired or been disabled, or cannot be confirmed for 30 days, Data Flow, Dashboards, Diagrams and the scheduled runs screen do not open. That is a technical protection measure, and this sentence is where you find out about it.
  • It runs on Windows, 64-bit, and nothing else. There is no Mac build and no Linux build. Nothing here runs in a browser tab on someone else's server.

02 · WHO YOU CONTRACT WITH

Two contracts, two parties.

Two agreements, and it matters which is which.

Payment is handled by our payment provider and merchant of record (currently Lemon Squeezy). They are an authorised reseller: they sell you the product, take the money, collect and remit the tax, and issue the invoice. Your payment contract is with them, and their buyer terms apply to it.

The software itself is licensed to you by Binse Analytics under the licence agreement. That contract is with him, not with the payment provider, and it is the one that governs what you may do with the software.

We never see your card details. They go to the payment provider and stay there. What reaches us is your name, your email address and an order reference, which is what a licence has to be issued against. The privacy notice sets out exactly what that means.

The payment provider is named here as a fact about today rather than as a permanent arrangement. If it changes, this page changes and the terms of the new provider apply to payments taken after the change. Your licence is unaffected either way, because it does not come from them.

03 · PRICE, TAX AND CURRENCY

One number, and what sits inside it.

VAT is inside the figure, not added at the end.

€99 a year for one person, VAT included. There is no separate charge for support, for updates released during your licence year, or for anyone who opens a dashboard you exported.

The price you pay is the one shown at the checkout before you confirm the order. The price page says plainly that the figure above is still under review, and that review is under way. If the price changes, the change applies to orders placed after it, never to one already placed.

Prices are shown in euro with VAT included, which is how a price has to be shown to a consumer. The tax actually charged depends on where you are, and the payment provider works it out and shows it before you confirm. A business buyer can enter a VAT number at the checkout, which can change what is charged. Transactions are displayed in euro and processed in US dollars, so your bank may apply a conversion of its own that we neither set nor see.

04 · HOW BUYING WORKS

The steps, in the order they happen.

Written for the state of things on 2026-09-13. The store is not open yet, and this page describes what happens rather than what is planned.

  1. You choose a plan on the price page and press the buy button. That opens the payment provider's checkout.
  2. You enter your details there. Everything you type can be changed until you press the button that completes the order, and the total, including tax, is shown before you do. Nothing is charged until you press it.
  3. The payment provider takes the payment and emails you a receipt and a VAT invoice. That email is your record of the contract. We do not keep a separate copy you can log in and retrieve, because there is nothing on this site to log in to.
  4. Your licence reaches you, within one working day of the payment clearing. If it takes longer than that, you can cancel and get your money back.

Step four has two possible shapes, and only one of them is live. Today it is a licence file: you send us the computer code the app shows under Have a licence file, or need one issued by hand, we issue the file against it, and it comes back by email. The app can already activate a licence key by itself. When the store opens, the licence key arrives in the payment provider's receipt email, you paste it into the licence screen, and nothing touches your inbox a second time. Whichever route is live on the day you buy, the price page says which, and so does this page.

The contract is concluded in English, and English is the only language these terms exist in. This page is plain HTML: it can be saved, printed and read with scripting switched off, which is what the law means when it requires terms to be given in a form you can store and reproduce.

05 · THE YEAR, AND THE RENEWAL

It renews itself until you stop it.

It renews on its own. Stopping it takes one message.

A licence is sold as a yearly subscription. Unless you cancel, the payment provider charges the same card again a year later and a new licence year begins. That is how the product is sold, it is stated here and on the price page, and nothing about it is buried.

To cancel, tell the payment provider at least 48 hours before your renewal date. The link to manage or cancel a subscription is in the receipt email they sent you. You can also write to support@binselytics.com and we will point you at it, or cancel on your behalf if you ask in writing. Cancelling stops the next charge. It does not end the year you have already paid for, and it does not disable anything early.

Unused parts of a period are not refunded. If you cancel in month three, your licence runs to the end of its year and is not renewed. That rule is the payment provider's, it applies to every subscription they process, and it is printed here because it is the sort of thing that should not be a surprise.

If the price changes, the new price applies from your next renewal, not from the middle of a year you have paid for. You will be told before a renewal is taken at a price different from the one you paid, and you can cancel instead.

06 · CANCELLING AND REFUNDS

Fourteen days, and no argument about it.

The short version first. The reasoning after it.

Ask within fourteen days of buying and you get your money back. You do not have to give a reason. Write to support@binselytics.com, from the address you bought with if you can, and say that you want to cancel. An email is enough; there is no form to fill in and no telephone menu to get through. We approve it, the payment provider issues the refund back to the card you paid with, and your licence stops.

The rest of this section explains why that sentence is shorter than the law it comes from, and it is worth reading if you want to know where you stand.

The statutory right, and how it is usually taken away

A consumer buying at a distance has fourteen days to cancel without giving a reason. For digital content delivered immediately, a trader can ask you to give that right up, and the law lets it go only if three things all happen: you expressly consent to delivery starting before the fourteen days are up, you acknowledge at the same time that you are losing the right to cancel, and the trader confirms both of those back to you on something durable, such as the receipt email.

All three have to hold. If one of them is missing, you can still cancel inside the fourteen days, and you owe nothing at all for what you already received.

Where we actually stand

The checkout belongs to the payment provider, not to us. We have not yet confirmed in writing with them whether their checkout takes that separate consent and that separate acknowledgement, and whether the receipt email repeats both. Until we have confirmed it, we are not going to claim a waiver we cannot show. So we treat the right as unwaived: ask within fourteen days and you get your money back, whether or not you have installed and used the software.

If that changes, this page says so, in this section, with the date. It will not change quietly.

After the fourteen days

After fourteen days there is no general right to a refund for a licence that works as described, and a yearly licence is not refunded part way through. Two things are unaffected by that. If the software is faulty, or is not what this site said it was, your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2022 apply and nothing here reduces them. And if something goes wrong that is our fault, write to us; a rule about refunds is not the same thing as a rule about behaving decently.

No refund has been asked for yet, because nothing has been sold yet. When the first one is, this paragraph will say something more useful than a promise.

07 · IF IT IS NOT WHAT WE SAID

The description is part of the deal.

What this site says is part of what you are buying.

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2022, digital content sold to a consumer has to work as the seller said it would and has to match the advertising, the information and any preview you were given. Every counted figure on this site carries a receipt naming the file that was read or the command that was run, and the date it was run. That is not decoration. It is us making the description checkable, because the description binds us.

If the software does not do what this site says, tell us and we will fix it, replace it or refund it. Which of those is right depends on what went wrong, and the Act, rather than this page, decides the order those remedies come in. Nothing on this site limits a remedy the Act gives you.

If a claim on this site is wrong, write to corrections@binselytics.com. Corrections are published on this site with the date they were made. That is a slower and more embarrassing process than quietly editing a page, which is the point of it.

08 · COMPLAINTS

How a complaint is handled.

One address, one person, and where to go next.

Write to hello@binselytics.com, or to support@binselytics.com if it is about the software. Say what happened and what you want done. You get an acknowledgement with a note of what happens next, and an answer from the person who wrote the software.

If we cannot agree, the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission is the competent authority in Ireland: www.ccpc.ie. A consumer elsewhere in the EU or EEA can go to the European Consumer Centre network, whose Irish office is at www.eccireland.ie. We are not a member of any alternative dispute resolution scheme, and there is no link on this site to the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform, because that platform closed permanently in July 2025.

These terms are governed by Irish law. If you are a consumer, that does not take away the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in, or your right to bring a case in the courts there.

The full identity of the trader, including the address and registration details, is on the legal notice.

ABOUT THIS PAGE

This page was written in plain English by the person who wrote the software. It is not legal advice, and it is not a solicitor's work. The legal notice, the terms of sale, the licence agreement, the privacy notice and the accessibility statement are all pending review by an Irish solicitor, and that review has to be finished before the first sale. If the review changes any of them, the changed page is republished and the date at the top of it changes with it.
